Abstract

Music and its study have beneficial effects on human and child development from a cognitive, emotional and, last but not least, social point of view. Research conducted over time demonstrates that studying a musical instrument from early childhood can have a positive impact on various aspects of human development. The Loop Flute was created by Austrian flutist Barbara Gissler Haase, flute professor at the Vienna Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Together with flutist Werner Tomasi, Barbara Gissler Haase and – wanted to build an instrument that could be used by preschoolers and primary school children (5 – 10 years old). The Loop flute became known and popularized in Romania 10 years ago through the flutist Mihaela Anica, representative in Romania of the company "Wiener Flotenwerkstatt". The popularization of the new instrument was achieved through exhibitions held in Bucharest or cities such as Oradea, Botoșani or Cluj Napoca. The exhibitions were accompanied by masterclasses, respectively workshops held by Mihaela Anica or even by one of the creators of the new flute model herself, Barbara Gissler Haase
