THE IMPACT OF THE 1907 UPRISING IN ANTON ZEMAN'S CHORAL CREATION
Keywords:

The 1907 Choral Poem is stylistically different from the other choral works by Anton Zeman due to theuse of the expressionist technique, punctualist technique, alternative classical form in combination with a free one. Thecellular-motivated articulation is mixed with the free-improvising form and the repetitive character of intonations of theharmonics of a sound - as a representation of another dimension. The author treats from a psychological point of viewthe collective character - the choir, which reaches dramatic representations expressed by the choral declamation andthe individual character - by the solo declaration or by intonations of the chromatich armony, of the subdivided voices. The analysis of the 1907 Choral Poem will emphasize Anton Zeman’s composition technique in rendering thisconflicting psychological state generated by injustice.
